1967 Dodge Charger
In 1966 Dodge introduced a new and totally radical design for a muscle car, the Charger. It made a real statement about where design might be headed with the long sloping fast back rear window and raked windshield to help create a slipperier profile for the Nascar circuit. It was a success on the track, but might have been a bit to, “out there”, for the buying public. With that this body style only lasted two seasons while the next generation was a huge success and still is today. However, like a lot of things that were just too much for their day and as time passed, an appreciation for what was created developed. That can be said of the first gen Charger. With its elongated profile, variety of drive line options, and what really had to be the coolest interior of that day, and many to come, today's collector car market has embraced the original. Here is a great rendering of that model; finished in original white with a newer red bucket seat with armrest interior. The rear passenger compartment has the unique bucket style that fold down to create plenty of load area. It is powered by a 440 backed up by the venerable Torqueflyte 727 transmission with a 3.23 rear end and factory AC to boot. If you are looking for an extremely rare and unique combination from 1967 you can miss with this.
